دعا الاتحاد الوطني لأئمة موريتانيا، في بيان مشترك له مع هيئة العلماء الموريتانيين، إلى وقفة تضامنية مع الشعب الفلسطيني، بعد الأحداث الأخيرة التي استهدفت مستشفى المعمداني بقطاع غزة، والتي خلفت أكثر من 500 شهيد.
وحدد البيان المشترك مسجد ابن عباس كمكان للوقفة، والتي تقرر تنظيمها بعد صلاة عصر اليوم الأربعاء 18 أكتوبر.
