قالت مصادر قيادية بحزب المستقبل المعارض الذي يرأسه الأستاذ محمد ولد بربص أن الحزب قرر الانسحاب من كتلة الوفاق الوطني التي كان حزب المستقبل من مؤسسيها و أحد أهم ركائزها بعد أن حققت الكتلة الأهداف التي أنشئت من أجلها وهي تنظيم حوار وطني شامل و جاد يشارك فيه الجميع.
و أضافت المصادر في حديث مع الشرق اليوم أن قيادة الحزب قررت التفرغ للعمل الحزبي المؤسسي و خاصة أن موريتانيا على أبواب انتخابات المحلية و تشريعية و سيكون للحزب فيها دورا أساسي
