وافقت اللجنة الوزارية الفنية المكلفة بإنشاء منطقة اقتصادية وصناعية بميناء تانيت "تدعى القطب التنموي لتانيت"، في اجتماع ترأسه السيد المختار الحسينو لام وزير الصيد والاقتصاد البحري وضم جميع أعضاء اللجنة على تفعيل الهيكل الإداري لهذه المنطقة.
ومُثل الميناء في الاجتماع من خلال مديره العام السيد أحمد ولد خطري، الذي قدم للجنة شرحا مفصلا عن أهمية المنطقة الصناعية للدولة وللميناء والمناطق المجاورة له، والفرص الاستثمارية التي ستتيحها.
وأبرز المدير العام الاستراتيجيات التي وضعتها إدارة الميناء لبلوغ مراميها، المتمثلة في تحويل الميناء إلى قطب تنموي ورافعة اقتصادية للبلد، بفضل موقعه الجغرافي والاستراتيجي وبما لديه من مقدرات تنموية تسمح بتحقيق هذا الهدف.
وتتكون اللجنة الوزارية المذكورة من:
الرئيس: ممثل الوزارة المسؤولة عن الاقتصاد وبعضوية كل من:
ممثل عن الوزارة المسؤولة عن المالية.
ممثل عن الوزارة المسؤولة عن الثروة السمكية.
ممثل عن الوزارة المسؤولة عن التجارة.
ممثل عن الوزارة المسؤولة عن تخطيط المدن والريف.
ممثل عن الوزارة المسؤولة عن البيئة.
ممثل عن النافذة الواحدة للاستثمارات.
ممثل عن الوكالة الموريتانية للشؤون البحرية
ممثل عن ميناء تانيت.
وتعمل تحت إشراف معالي وزير الصيد والاقتصاد البحري.
ويشهد الميناء في الأشهر الأخيرة ديناميكية غير مسبوقة في تاريخه، لا سيما في مجال البنى التحتية التي تجسدت في تدشين رئيس الجمهورية قبل بضعة أشهر للعديد من المشاريع التنموية الحيوية، ككهربة منطقة الميناء، وبناء سوق للسمك، ومصنع لمعالجته، ومصنع آخر للثلج.
