التقى مفوض حقوق الإنسان و العمل الإنساني والعلاقات مع المجتمع المدني، الشيخ أحمدو ولد أحمد سالم ولد سيدي، بمكتبه اليوم، ممثلة المفوضية السامية لشؤون اللاجئين في موريتانيا إليزابيت أيستر.
اللقاء تم خلاله بحث مختلف مجالات التعاون بين المفوضية وهذه الهيئة الأممية، خاصة في القضايا المتعلقة بتعبئة المفوضية السامية لللاجئين بهدف تعزيز حقوق المهاجرين و طالبي اللجوء، وإرساء إطار للتبادل بين المفوضية السامية لللاجئين و الهيئة الوطنية لمحاربة الاتجار بالبشر و تهريب المهاجرين، حول الاتجار بالأشخاص وتهريب المهاجرين.
كما تم بحث آليات تنفيذ نشاطات تساهم في جهود الوقاية من التسول القسري، وتنظيم نشاطات تحسيس و تكوين لصالح اللاجئين حول الاتجار بالأشخاص و تهريب المهاجرين، و ملتقيات أخرى تجمع اللاجئين و السكان المحليين حول نفس المواضيع.
