قال رئيس الجمهورية محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، في تغريدة له على حسابه الرسمي في منصة إكس (تويتر)، إنه ككل الموريتانيين يتألم مما يتعرض له الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق، من قتل وحصار وتشريد.
وأضاف ولد الغزواني إنه إذا لم يتدار عقلاء العالم وأصحاب الضمائر الحية ما يحدث من فظائع في فلسطين، فستكون جريمة اليوم آخر مسمار يُدق في الثقة بالعدالة والقوانين والمواثيق والأعراف الدولية.
وكانت موريتانيا قد أدانت رسميا استهداف إسرائيل لمستشفى المعمداني بغزة، والذي راح ضحيته أكثر من 500 شهيد، أغلبهم نساء وأطفال.
