عين الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، المحامية الموريتانية فاتمتا امباي عضوا في مجلس إدارة صندوق الأمم المتحدة للتبرعات المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة.
وبدأت مأمورية فاتمتا امباي في هذا المنصب منذ الأول من شهر أكتوبر، وتستمر لمدة ثلاثة سنوات.
ويقدم صندوق الأمم المتحدة للتبرعات المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة، منحا لمنظمات المجتمع المدني من أجل مساعدة النساء والرجال والأطفال، ضحايا العبودية في جميع أنحاء العالم.
جدير بالذكر أن المحامية الموريتانية فاتمتا امباي تنشط في المجال الحقوقي منذ سنوات، وهي رئيسة الجمعية الموريتانية لحقوق الإنسان.
