تمكن نادى الحرس الوطنى من العبور نحو الدور الثانى من تصفيات كأس رئيس الجمهورية على حساب نادى الشرطة الذى قاتل باستماتة من أجل الظفر ببطاقة العبور، فى مباراة قوية ومثيرة.
وسجل الحرس أول أهداف اللقاء، لكن الشرطة عادلت النتيجة قبل نهاية الوقت.
ولجأ الفريقان إلى ضربات الجزاء، حيث حالف الحظ الحرس، ليعلن اكمال مربع الفرق المتأهلة للجولة الثانية.
