دعا الرئيس الموريتاني محمد ولد عبد العزيز صباح اليوم الاثنين 12 ـ 12 ـ 2016، الجميع إلى التضامن، ونبذ الفرقة، والتصدي بحزم للفساد، والغلو، والفئوية، والنعرات الضيقة.

وأعرب ولد عبد العزيز خلال افتتاحه مهرجان القديمة بمدينة "وادان" بولاية آدرار شمال البلاد، عن تهنئته للشعب الموريتاني وللأمة الإسلامية بعيد المولد النبوي الشريف، معتبرا أن المهرجان إحياء لذكرى المولد التي حملت بشرى للجميع، واخرج صاحبها ـ عليه أفضل الصلاة والسلام ـ  الجميع من الظلمات إلى النور.

وأكد ولد عبد العزيز في خطاب موجز أن إطلاق فعاليات مهرجان المدن القديمة تعتبر تمسكا بقيم المجتمع، وتعاليم دينه الحنيف.

وأضاف ولد عبد العزيز أن المهجران شكل تظاهر سنوية يتداعى لها المواطنون من كل أنحاء البلد للعمل على النهوض بالأنشطة الثقافية في المدن التاريخية التي عانت التهميش، إضافة إلى دعم النشاطات المدرة للدخل وتحفيز السياحة، والحفاظ على الهوية والتشبث بالقيم الأصيلة للمجتمع والتي قوامها المجد والتآخي والتصدي بحزم لكل سلوك يتنافي مع الدين الإسلامي الحنيف.
