بدأ المجلس الأعلى للقضاء في موريتانيا اجتماعه العادي للعام 2016 في القصر الرئاسي تحت رئاسة رئيسه الرئيس الموريتاني محمد ولد عبد العزيز.
وعلى جدول أعمال المجلس تعيين تشكلة المحكمة المختصة في قضايا الفساد، والتي صادقت الحكومة على إنشائها خلال شهر أغسطس الماضي.
كما يوجد على جدول أعماله إجراء تحويلات القضاة بين ولايات البلاد، ومحاكمها، حيث دأب سنويا على عقد اجتماع واحد قبيل نهاية السنة تجرى فيه هذه التغييرات بشكل متزامن.
