اجتمع فريق الاتحاد من أجل الجمهورية في مجلس الشيوخ يوم الاثنين 07 نوفمبر 2016 عند الساعة الثالثة بعد الزوال بدعوة من رئيس المجلس.
وبعد نقاش مستفيض لمختلف قضايا الساحة أجمع أعضاء الفريق على حرصهم على دعم رئيس الجمهورية وتمسكهم بالانضباط الحزبي مؤكدين على أنهم جزء لا يتجزأ من الأغلبية الرئاسية.
