اندلعت صباح اليوم الاثنين مواجهات بين الحماله وقوات من الشرطة، بمحيط ميناء نواكشوط، عقب خروج المئات من العمال الحماله، في مظاهرة مناهضة لقرار اتخذته إدارة الميناء بقل بعض الحاويات مباشرة للأسواق التجارية وسط المدينة دون تفريغها بالميناء.

وقال أحد العمال المشاركين في المظاهرات للأخبار:"لقد تعرضنا لقمع شديد، استخدم الأمن قنابل الغاز بكثافة، المظاهرات مستمرة والوضع محتقن جدا".

ومنذ أيام دخل الحماله في إضراب شامل على العمل، احتجاجا على نقل الحاويات للأسواق دون تفريغها بالميناء، معتبرين أن ذلك أثر بشكل كبير على أوضاعهم المعيشية.
