دخلت قابلة تدعى مريم بنت سميدع الحالات المستعجلة بالمستشفى العسكري بعد تعرضها لإصابات خطيرة أثناء توليدها لإحدى السيدات،
عندما كانت القابلة مريم بنت سميدع -وهي الأولى على دفعتها من الممرضات- تقوم بتوليد سيدة واثناء محاولتها مساعدة السيدة على إخراج المولود تألمت السيدة فما كان منها إلا أن رفستها على مستوى الصدر مما تسبب في تقهقرها نحو الزجاج الفاصل في الغرفة لتصاب بجروح خطيرة، وتم إسعافها على وجه السرعة للعناية المركزة حيث ترقد هناك.
