تعرض زوال يوم الاحد الشيخ ولد براهيم لاعتداء وحشي على يد مجموعة مأجورة من شباب مقاطعة اركيز بولاية اترارزة وقد ذكرت جهات مقربة من المجني عليه أنه كان يعمل مع شخص يدعى باباه ولد أحمد واه و الذي ارسله إلى عبد الله حيث نشب بينهما خلاف أدى إلى تلاسن ثم إعتداء من قبل هذا الاخير وذلك بعد طلب المجني عليه مستحقاته المالية  و اتهم ذوي المجني عليه السلطات المحلية بالتقاعس عن دورها والتحيز لصف الجناة بدليل كونها ماتزال ترفض اعتقال أحد منفذي الإعتداء وهو المدعو عبدالله وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن الحادثة وقعت في منطقة انكرمدي  في مقاطعة اركيز والتي على إثرها نقل الضحية إلى مستشفى روصو في حالة حرجة جراء إصابته إصابة بالغة في الرأس والصدر
