أعرب حزب التجمع الوطني للإصلاح والتنمية تواصل عن إدانته لما وصفها بكل أشكال القمع والعنف والاعتداء سواء كان الضحية مواطنون عاديون أو رجال أمن، أو كانت خسائرها ممتلكات مواطنين أو معدات شرطة.

وأعرب الحزب المعارض في بيان وصلت الأخبار نسخة منه  عن أسفه لوقوع مثل هذه الأمور في شهر رمضان وفي عشره الأواخر بالذات، مطالبا بـ"حل متكامل لهذه القضية يأخذ بعين الاعتبار مشاكل الأسر الضعيفة التي سكنت هذه الأرض زمنا طويلا والمحتاجة للعدل والإنصاف والتعويض  يحترم القوانين ولا يعتدي على الممتلكات" بحسب البيان.

ودعا الحزب في بيانه إلى ما وصفها بمراجعة جدية لمنح القطع الأرضية وطرق ذلك وضوابطه بحيث تجمع بين التوظيف الاقتصادي الجيد لها والتعامل مع المواطنين جميعا على قاعدة المساواة في الفرص حسب نص البيان.
