قررت السلطات الموريتانية ان تكون تسمية الشارع المتجه من نواكشوط إلى مطار أم التونسي الجديد على المغفور له الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل انهيان .

و سيكون هذا الشارع من أهم الشوارع في العاصمة الموريتانية نواكشوط .

و عرف عن الشيخ زايد عمله الكبير في خدمة الخير في العالم العربي ، و كانت له إسهامات كبيرة في موريتانيا حيث ساهم في عهده في الحد من البطالة عن الكثير من الموريتانيين كما مولت الإمارات في عهده الكثير من المشاريع في موريتانيا ، وسبق له أن زار موريتانيا في عهد المغفور له المختار ولد داداه .
