علمت الشرق اليوم من مصادر داخل حزب الإتحاد من أجل الجمهورية  أن رئيس الحزب سيدي محمد ولد محم أنتقد بلغة حادة أداء قيادات الحزب المحسوبة على شريحة الحراطين وفشلهم الذريع في قناع الحراطين بأن خطاب الرئيس بالنعمة ليس موجها للشريحة بعينها.

وأضافت المصادر أن رئيس الحزب اعرب لمسؤولي الحراطين بالاتحاد من أجل الجمهورية عن تذمره ورئيس الجمهورية السيد محمد ولد عبد العزيز من ضعف أدائهم وعدم إحتكاكهم بالقواعد الشعبية في أحياء الصفيح والكزرات التي أصبحت مرتعا لمعارضي النظام وخصومه الحقيقين.

وأشارت المصادر إلى أن ولد محم أبلغ قيادات الحراطين بالحزب أن الحملة التي قرر الحزب اعلانها تستهدف شريحة الحراطين الغاضبة على الرئيس الذي لم يوفق في اختيار شخصيات وازنة من الشريحة.

وفي سياق متصل يرى بعض المراقبين أن سبب عزوف الشخصيات الحرطانية بالمكتب التنفيذي لحزب الاتحاد عن القيام بحملة لشرح مضامين خطاب ولد عبد العزيز هو شعورهم بالتهميش والاقصاء وعدم الاشراك في صنع القرار السياسي
