قال القيادي في ميثاق الحقوق السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية لشريحة لحراطين محمد السالك ولد ابراهيم إن خطاب الرئيس الموريتاني محمد ولد عبد العزيز الذي تهجم فيه على السلوك الاجتماعي لشريحة لحراطين وانتقد منهجها في "التكاثر" يبشر بقرب زوال نظامه٠

وأضاف ولد ابراهيم في كلمته أمام المسيرة التي نظمها منتدى المعارضة مساء اليوم السبت للرد على خطاب الرئيس محمد ولد عبد العزيز في النعمة إن سلوك شريحة لحراطين ومنهجها في الحياة "مبني على السنة النبوية المشرفة ودعوة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لامته بالتكاثر" وفق تعبيره٠

وكانت بعض الفقرات المتعلقة بالعبودية في خطاب الرئيس ولد عبد العزيز في النعمة قد أثارت ردود فعل متباينة حيث رأى فيها البعض تعويضا بالسلوك الاجتماعي لشريحة "لحراطين"٠
