قالت مصادر حقوقية ان تعيين أزيد بيه ولد داي، عضو في اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان بمرسوم رئاسي يوم أمس لاقى استحسانا في صفوف الحقوقيين ونشطاء المجتمع المدني.
وأضافت المصادر ذاتها أن أزيد بيه لعب أدوارا مهمة في الدفاع عن سمعة موريتانيا في الداخل والخارج، خلال مشاركاته في المؤتمرات الدولية بوصفه رئيسا لمنظمة حاصلة على حق العضوية في المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي التابع للأمم المتحدة.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن ولد داي هو ناشط حقوقي معروف بمواقفه الوسطية في القضايا الوطنية الكبرى وهو رئيس جمعية السلام لمكافحة القهر والاضطهاد وأمين تنفيذي لشبكة معا ضد التعذيب بموريتانيا.
