احتضنت نواكشوط اليوم الاثنين انطلاق أعمال ملتقى إقليمي لقوات الدرك في منطقتي الساحل وجنوب الساحل ونظرائهم في بعض الدول الأوروبية منظم من طرف قيادة أركان الدرك الموريتاني بالتعاون مع الدرك الفرنسي والحرس المدني الاسباني حول تحديات مكافحة الإرهاب.

ويهدف هذا الملتقى الأول من نوعه والذى يدوم يوما واحدا، إلى تنسيق جهود الدول المعنية، خاصة على مستوى قوات الدرك لمناهضة الإرهاب عبر وضع تصور لمواجهة هذه المعضلة من خلال تنسيق جهود الشمال والجنوب وتبادل المعلومات سبيلا إلى تبني مقاربة أمنية لمواجهة التهديدات الإرهابية.

وحضر اللقاء وزير العدل ووالي نواكشوط الغربية وسفراء الدول الإفريقية المعنية في نواكشوط ونظرائهم الأوروبيين والسفير الأمريكي وعدد من مسؤولي البعثات والمنظمات الدولية وجمع من الضباط ومدراء وقادة أركان الدرك في الدول المشاركة.
